Thank you to all the hands and all the lands that made this meal possible.
Thank you for your life.
May we live well and live out loud on behalf of these ones filling our bellies in this meal.
We don’t presume these ones are simply victims of human hunger.
We don’t presume these ones are excited to offer their lives so we can have our lives.
We are completely dependent on the lives of others to live. We acknowledge the nuance and intimacy of needing to eat others.
That we are eating creates an obligation for us to have a meaningful life, and for us to participate.
It’s our responsibility to cultivate ourselves, to learn about who we are, and to follow bliss.
May we all have enough to eat.
Peace. Peace. Peace.
